Chelsea Robert grew up along the rugged shorelines of Georgian Bay in the small tourist town of Tobermory, Ontario. She graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with a degree in Anthropology and Archaeology. Since graduating from university she has focused on her career in archaeology, working as a field director for a local consulting firm and traveling around the province.  In 2015 she completed a certificate in Drawing and Painting (Visual Art Fundamentals) at Fleming College.

Like most artists she started drawing at a young age, inspired by the natural world around her, the fantasy books she read and her obsession with horses. These elements continue to inspire her work, but as her relationship with the world changes, the meaning behind her work evolves. Her pieces attempt to show the conflicted and often contradictory nature in which she views the world. She works in a variety of mediums depending on what she is attempting to convey.
